American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment at a Level I/II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and TNCC certification.
Details- Level I and Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
- Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- 36 or 48 hours per week, weekends required
- Scheduled days vary based on staffing needs; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
- Epic EMR experience required
- Floating required within scope of practice as needed
- Active VA or compact RN license (pending license accepted, must be in hand by the Wednesday before start)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (TNCC may be pending but must be obtained before start)
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience, including some pediatric experience
- BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Two professional references required
- Provide emergency and trauma nursing care, including triage, in a high-acuity setting
- Maximum 40 hours of RTO approved per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
- Any vacation time between sign date and start date must be disclosed to determine a realistic start date
- Previous UVA Health employment as permanent staff or traveler must be disclosed; a 1-year separation and leadership approval is required for return
- External travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility and are not eligible to return once that limit is reached
- No radius restriction applies to this unit
