Hollymead Veterinary Hospital offers General Practice and Urgent Care services to companion animals in Charlottesville, Virginia. Formerly known as VETSS (Veterinary Emergency Treatment and Specialty Services), our hospital has provided emergency services to the Charlottesville community for over 30 years. In 2018, as the landscape of veterinary care evolved, we began shifting toward urgent care and general practice services.

Our team is dedicated to both pets and their owners, and we pride ourselves on delivering medical excellence and patient‑centered care in a comforting environment. We have several team members that are Fear‑Free and RECOVER certified, led by a people‑focused Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM).

We are seeking a full‑time licensed veterinary technician to join our team of highly skilled and dedicated individuals. LVTs play an essential role in advocating for our patients and providing the best care by practicing high‑quality medicine and low‑stress handling methods.

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Able to remain calm in stressful situations
• Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods; shifts range from 9–12 hours
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Graduated from AVMA‑accredited veterinary technician program
• Current veterinary technician licensure
• Complete required continuing education hours to maintain licensure
