Position Summary
We’re seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to support day‑to‑day laboratory operations while contributing to assay development and instrument research efforts. This is a full‑time, in‑person role that works closely with engineering and scientific teams to execute established workflows and optimize DNA isolation and analysis technologies, including fluidic cartridges and automated instrumentation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of routine laboratory execution, experimental problem‑solving, and applied research.
Key Responsibilities Laboratory Operations- Responsible for day‑to‑day laboratory operations, including inventory, reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, and documentation
- Ensure laboratory workflows are executed consistently and in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
- Perform bench work supporting liquid biopsy workflows, including cfDNA isolation, DNA quantification, and fragmentation analysis
- Execute endpoint genetic assays (ddPCR, qPCR, and NGS‑adjacent workflows) and document and interpret results
- Optimize existing assays at the benchtop level to improve performance
- Support assay transfer and optimization within fluidic and automated systems
- Collaborate with R&D teams to evaluate assay performance on prototype instruments
- Analyze experimental data, including DNA metrics and ddPCR outputs, using basic statistical methods
- Assist with planning experiments, troubleshoot technical issues, and clearly document findings
- Contribute to grant writing, scientific publications, and technical reports
- Prepare data presentations, posters, and talks for internal and external meetings
- Potential for travel to customer sites to support assay evaluation, data collection, or collaborative studies, as well as attend and support relevant scientific conferences
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (required)
- Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent hands‑on experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with DNA or RNA based assays and workflows
- Experience with cfDNA, ddPCR, qPCR, NGS, or related genetic analysis techniques
- Familiarity with fluidics, cartridges, or lab‑on‑a‑chip systems is desirable, but not required
- Comfortable with direct analysis of DNA quantification, fragmentation data, and ddPCR results
- Experience applying basic statistics to experimental data
- Experience with scientific publication, grant writing, and/or technical documentation
