Responsibilities
Duties include applying computational modeling and data science to protein engineering. The position will utilize software such as PyMOL and bioinformatics packages like Alpha Fold, ProteinMPNN and other de‑novo protein engineering tools to study and analyze protein structures. Analysis and quality control techniques will include Flow Cytometry and SDS‑PAGE. Artificial intelligence and data science will be used to track variations in Cry proteins.
The role involves identifying homologous sequences from the BPPRC Database, generating Alpha Fold models of full‑length proteins in non‑crystallized form, generating models of proteolytically activated proteins guided by sequence editing, overlaying variant structures with PDB structures, modeling and visualizing interfaces, mutation sites, oligomers, and receptor‑bound structures that are otherwise unavailable.
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field
- Full‑time position
Salary: $60,174 - $69,300 per year
