The University of Virginia’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery seeks a Research Scientist / Research Associate to study how neuronal and immune systems shape the microenvironment of intervertebral disc degeneration, with the aim of identifying therapies for back pain.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree or MD/PhD in molecular biology or related fields and have experience in cell culture, in vitro assays, flow cytometry, histology, and data analysis. Animal surgical experience is preferred.
