Research Assistant; Wage

Overview

This is a 20 hour/week position supporting research efforts in the School of Medicine, Department of Public Health Sciences at the Institute of Law, Psychiatry and Public Policy. The Research Assistant will be integrally involved in mental health law reform projects, with a focus on firearm restraining order policy and implementation. The RA will assist with literature reviews, meetings with our collaborators, developing resources, collecting data via coding legal materials and interviews with stakeholders, and preparing grant proposals.

• Conduct literature reviews related to mental health law reform and firearm restraint policies.
• Attend meetings with collaborators and contribute to project planning and resource development.
• Develop resources and materials to support project goals.
• Collect data by coding legal materials and conducting stakeholder interviews.
• Assist with preparing grant proposals and related documentation.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The position may require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
