Assists in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, managing tee sheet applications, acting as ranger, starter, guest relations, and some golf shop shifts.
Essential Duties- Assist in administering all point of sale application revisions and needs as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and pass holder/guest billing; coordinate with accounting departments on all policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementations
- Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check‑in, and receive payments from pass holders and guests; resolve discrepancies as it applies to duplicate charges and over or under payment; track all force posts and no‑show charges as applicable
- Promote all golf course activities, events, and tournaments
- Assist in the creation of lesson plans and provide both individual and group instruction
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and well‑stocked golf shop; assist the retail buyer with procurement of merchandise and shop assistants with merchandising and sales
- Prepare for all golf outings including coordinating scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments
- Monitor all pass holder scores, report handicapping to USGA and complete billing
- Follow established opening and closing procedures
- Assist with associate training
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as required
Associate's degree or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous Golf And Management Experience RequiredPrevious Golf And Management Experience Required.
Environment/NoiseOccasionally works in wet or humid conditions. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/LicensesCurrent PGA/LPGA Membership or Associate in good standing.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences- Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (the associate is required to communicate with English‑speaking customers and/or co‑workers; manuals for the equipment the associate may use are in English)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems
