Store Environment Team Member

Store – CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver brand promises. Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they’re looking for.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in the correct location.
• Clean assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment, including mixing water and detergents when required.
• Deep clean key areas of the store, such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high‑traffic areas.
• Maintain cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.

• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with omni‑channel processes, including BOPIS and SFS.
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute company policies and standards.

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
• Possibility of outdoor work retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
• Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals.
