Job Overview

Jobs in this group are typically responsible for managing the university’s business operations, including project management, financial operations, budgeting, payroll, accounting, and financial reporting. They ensure efficient use of resources, compliance with financial regulations, and provide analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

These roles are responsible for handling a variety of business and finance tasks across different areas. Staff and leaders in these positions may engage in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and other duties as needed to support the university’s financial operations and strategic goals.

Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty spend the majority of time leading the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs, and policies using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Recognized internally as a master in a discipline within the University, they implement initiatives and projects established by School or Division leadership. They develop and implement new processes, standards, or plans to achieve strategies. Problems are frequently complex and sometimes multi‑dimensional. This role requires the ability to influence and communicate with executives.

  Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience:
  
  7+ years of professional experience in a financial discipline required.
• Licensure:
  None, unless required by position as specified.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job occasionally requires traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.

The starting base rate for this role is $140,000 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
