Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Stocking, Customer Service Rep
Responsibilities
Process, package, and stock meat products in accordance with Meat Standards. Clean work areas, provide customer service while unloading stock, reload salvage, and perform duties of a seafood clerk as assigned.
Qualifications- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
- One to three months of related experience or training is acceptable.
- Basic English reading, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Basic math skills for adding and subtracting two‑digit numbers, and using American units of money and weight.
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions and resolve simple problems in standardized situations.
- Willingness to participate in required training and collaborate with a team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with reach of 6 to 72 inches.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform other physical tasks required by the job’s duties.
Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, taste, and smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with a reach of 6–72 inches. Close vision, color, and depth perception are required.
Work EnvironmentCool environment with an average temperature range of 34–36°F. Frequently exposed to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and moderate to loud noise.
Compensation- Pay: $14.25–$18.75 per hour for newly hired associates; may vary with experience and skill set.
Eligible for Harris Teeter group benefit plans after applicable waiting periods. Eligibility subject to terms of applicable plan and Harris Teeter policy.
