Position Summary

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and dynamic Account Executive to generate new business opportunities throughout the Charlottesville area.

In this role, the Account Executive will focus on developing the customer base by selling repair services and service agreements for mechanical systems, including HVAC, Plumbing, Building Automation, Electrical, and Water Treatment solutions
. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated B2B sales professional who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, closing deals, and driving business growth.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of the role includes:

  • Sell HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Building Automation, and Water Treatment solutions to commercial B2B customers
  • Develop new business through cold calling, prospecting, networking, and relationship building
  • Increase market presence and identify large-scale sales opportunities
  • Connect with and influence high-level decision makers
  • Spend the majority of time in the field meeting with customers and prospects
  • Sell repair services and recurring service agreements for commercial mechanical systems
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
  • Manage customer expectations, perceptions, and long-term satisfaction
  • Close deals that support revenue growth and continued business expansion
Qualifications Required

Education and Experience
  • 3–7 years of full-cycle B2B commercial sales experience
  • Experience selling recurring service agreements, maintenance contracts, or similar service-based solutions
  • Experience selling to facility managers, property managers, building engineers, operations directors, or similar decision makers
  • Ability to provide information regarding previous quota attainment
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Strong prospecting, cold-calling, networking, presentation, and closing skills
  • Competitive, ambitious, and highly motivated sales approach
  • Adaptable, persuasive, passionate, confident, and positive demeanor
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to connect with and influence high-level decision makers
  • Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external customers
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Building Automation, Water Treatment, or other mechanical service solutions
  • Knowledge of commercial facilities, building operations, or MEP service environments
  • Existing network within the Charlottesville, VA commercial market
