Flooring Sales Associate

Carpet Plus is looking for a hardworking and organized professional with an eye for design to complete our sales team! The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service throughout our proven no-pressure sales process.

This position will require intermediate computer knowledge and a strong interest in construction and design. Flooring experience is a plus. This is an hourly position which will require approximately 40 hours per week including some Saturdays. The position offers:

Responsibilities include:

• Managing all aspects of the sales process, from product selection to installation and follow-up correspondence
• Multi-tasking and problem-solving in a fast-paced retail environment
• Acquiring new clients including residential homeowners, homebuilders, and design professionals, and maintaining relationships with them
• Keeping up-to-date with evolving industry trends so that you can help your customers make an informed purchase decision
• Acting as an ambassador for Carpet Plus by networking with industry groups, local associations and business leaders

Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of sales experience. Experience in construction or design a plus
• A devotion to excellent customer service, strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional interpersonal, networking and verbal/written communication skills
• Self-motivated, with a willingness to continually learn about dynamic industry trends
• Some familiarity with MS Office and other enterprise software systems
• An interest in design
