Job Profile
Summary:
Performs in a leadership role within the Electrophysiology Lab and acts as a physician technical extender with the knowledge skills and abilities to support the high end clinical execution of the full array of electrophysiology procedures in the laboratory setting.
- Demonstrates leadership in the delivery of services.
- Assist the attending physician or Fellow in the technical performance of electrophysiology procedures.
- Implements procedure specific technical interventions based upon the individual patient, physician, and procedure support needs.
- Actively participates in quality improvement program development and professional growth activities for self while assisting in the professional development of others.
- Provides for a safe environment of care.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Bio Medicine, a Life Science, or related discipline. Specialized formal and/or on the job training in a comprehensive electrophysiology setting or background preparation in Bio Engineering or a Life Science. - Experience:
5 years relevant experience in invasive cardiology, preferably relative to this position. - Licensure:
Heart Rhythm Society / IBHRE Certification for Electrophysiology within 18 months of hire.
Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills;
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly;
Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The starting base rate for this role is $82,700.80 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
