SAFETY AND SECURITY SUPERVISOR (Armed)

We are seeking a Safety & Security Supervisor (Armed) to manage the daily operational activities of the department to ensure the safety and security of all employees and visitors, and to prevent loss or damage to collections, facilities, and equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervision of FT Security Officers, ensuring compliance with policies & procedures and coverage of assigned areas
• Review & approval of timecards and PTO requests
• Conducting annual performance reviews
• Coaching/counseling and addressing performance concerns
• Assisting in the recruitment process for open security positions
• Assisting in creating and presenting safety training programs
• Sharing the rotating duty of being on-call and filling in for open shifts when needed
• Responding to emergencies as needed
• Developing and maintaining operations logs, records, and schedules
• Acting as the onsite senior department representative in the absence of the Director of Safety & Security
• Ability to work a Tuesday - Saturday schedule
