Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance across both residential homes and apartments, as well as commercial buildings. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service.
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for electrical systems and other electrical materials.
- Interpret existing building electrical wiring through visual inspections for best problem‑solving practices.
- Install fixtures such as lights, receptacles, communication devices, breaker panels, and junction boxes.
- Use saws and cutting equipment as necessary.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, plumbers, pipe fitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing electrical wiring.
- Test electrical systems for shorts and other problems.
- Analyze problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repair.
- Choose electrical materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of the building.
- Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes and NEC regulation codes.
- Write reports documenting the problem and summary of actions taken.
- Perform inspections of electrical systems to identify and replace worn parts.
- Prepare bids and schedules and oversee other workers, such as apprentices and helpers.
- Perform general maintenance work as needed or as directed by management.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance repairs on all electrical related systems, including fire suppression systems, boilers, appliances.
- Participate in all weather‑related emergencies, including snow removal and other inclement weather preparedness and recovery operations.
- Participate in the routine on‑call schedule.
This is a full‑time position; typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime, weekend hours, and night manager on‑call rotation may be required during busy turnover season or due to weather and business needs.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to utilize a mobile cellular device for many functions in this position.
- At least one year of experience in apartment or home repairs or maintenance.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations.
- Panel replacement experience.
- Minimum 3 years electrical wiring experience.
- Tradesman license issued by the DPOR, or ability to obtain a Tradesman license within 90 days of employment.
