Piedmont Electrical Service

is seeking a skilled electrical Journeyman, or Master Electrician who can be a Qualified Individual, for residential and light commercial renovation work in the Charlottesville and Albemarle area.

We are looking for someone who understands both the technical side of electrical work and the realities of working within occupied homes, remodels, additions, and existing structures. This is not production new construction work. Most projects require problem solving, clean workmanship, communication, and the ability to adapt to real-world field conditions.

• Service upgrades
• Remodel and renovation wiring
• Kitchen and bathroom renovations
• Lighting installation
• Troubleshooting and repairs
• Panel work
• Exterior electrical
• Coordination with other trades during active construction

• Strong working knowledge of residential electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks without constant supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license
• Professional communication with clients and team members
• Clean and organized work habits
• Ability to read plans and understand scopes of work

• Journeyman license or equivalent field experience
• Experience in renovation/remodel environments
• Familiarity with permitting and inspection processes

  • Full-time steady work — year-round, not seasonal
  • 50% employer-paid health, dental & vision insurance
  • 40 hours PTO for the first two years
  • 80 hours PTO after second year
  • 40 sick hours (accrued)
