OverviewBeck Cohen is hiring a Lead Residential HVAC Installer to run residential replacement and heat pump installation jobs in the Charlottesville area. This is a lead role, not a helper role
.
We are looking for an experienced installer who can lead an installation assistant, deliver clean workmanship, communicate well with homeowners, and keep jobs moving professionally from start to finish
.
- $32–$40/hr based on experience, credentials, and capabilities

, with a typical average of 42–45 hours/week and some additional peak-season hours - Health, dental, vision, and life insurance

- Lead residential HVAC replacement/changeout jobs from start to finish
- Install heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, ventilation systems, ductwork, and related accessories
- Work with and direct an installation assistant
- Protect the customer’s home and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
- Perform startup, testing, and basic troubleshooting
- Complete installation paperwork and job documentation accurately
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners throughout the job
- Follow safety procedures and company installation standards every day
- Perform occasional light commercial installation work as needed
- 3+ years of HVAC installation experience preferred
- Strong experience in residential replacement/changeout work
- Experience installing heat pumps and standard residential HVAC systems
- Ability to lead a helper/assistant and keep the job on track
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- English fluency required for homeowner communication and jobsite safety
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
- EPA 608 preferred
- NATE certification and/or Virginia Journeyman/Master HVAC license is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish welcome, not required
- Dependable, accountable, and professional
