Overview
Technician Trainee – Auto Glass Technician. You will be trained in auto glass repair, replacement, and recalibration. Upon completion, you receive Safelite Safe Tech certification and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities- Pay to learn and apprentice the Safelite way through hands‑on and classroom training.
- Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
- Recalibrate automotive safety systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.
- Provide additional services & products to customers.
- Study for and pass testing to become a Safelite‑certified Technician.
- Safely operate company vehicles, use company‑issued tools and chemicals.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.
- Competitive weekly pay starting at $20.25/hour, increasing to $24.00/hour after training and certification.
- Earn $5 for each set of wiper blades added for customer safety.
- Benefits package valued at more than $10k, including 401(k) with company matching, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days.
- Option to buy additional PTO or sell unused time up to 16 hours.
- Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement.

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body, and work outdoors in varied weather.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and motor vehicles safely.
- Knowledge of and ability to use computerized diagnostic tools for recalibration and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to exceed customer expectations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication in English, both written and oral.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and comply with dress code and PPE policies.
- Willingness to handle professional or personal pressure and maintain stable performance.
