A day in the life:
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of domestic water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes
- Assist with sheet metal products and ductwork for commercial projects as well as assist with any other tasks needed to complete the project
You should have:
- Journeymen or Master’s license (preferred, but not required)
- Backflow License (preferred, but not required)
- Med-Gas Certification (preferred, but not required)
- Completion of applicable trade school (preferred, but not required)
- Experience with layouts
- Knowledge of International Plumbing Code (IPC) and general safety regulations
