AboutThe Role
We are seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to join our service team in the Charlottesville area. This is a mid‑to‑senior level role ideal for technicians with strong technical expertise and hands‑on experience servicing a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including:
- DX equipment
- Gas‑fired and electric heating systems
- Air handlers and duct systems
- Temperature control systems (24V, 1–10V)
- Start up systems, monitor operation, read gauges, and make adjustments
- Diagnose equipment issues and repair or replace components
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
- Inspect and service piping and pumping systems
- Report unusual conditions or system concerns to supervisors
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Chillers (air‑cooled and water‑cooled; scroll, screw, or reciprocating)
- Electronic controls on packaged HVAC and chiller systems
- Chilled/hot water systems and VFD‑driven pumps
- Boilers, VAV systems, water‑source heat pumps, and CRAC units
- DDC, pneumatic, and modular control systems
- Experience working on systems up to 100 tons
- High school diploma or GED (trade school preferred)
- EPA Universal Certification (required)
- HVAC Journeyman’s License (required for higher levels)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
$32.00–$36.00 per hour
- EPA Universal required
- ~5+ years of HVAC experience
- Entry commercial level (Journeyman not required)
$32.00–$40.00 per hour
- EPA Universal required
- 7–10+ years commercial experience
- Journeyman license preferred
$36.00–$40.00 per hour
- EPA Universal required
- 10+ years experience
- Master HVAC license (VA) + WV license required
