Mobile Golf​/Turf Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
• Consult equipment operating manuals, schematics, and drawings
• Perform scheduled maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating parts
• Diagnose and identify malfunctions, using computerized tools and equipment
• Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, such as bearings, pistons, and gears
• Overhaul and test major components, such as engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Dissemble and reassemble equipment and components
• Maintain complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information
• Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Operate and maintain vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Travel to and from various customers’ locations to perform assigned tasks

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Driving history suitable for coverage under company insurance
• Basic knowledge of automotive repair, electronics, and/or welding is desired
• One year of familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures desired
• Formal vocational or post‑secondary training in diesel technology or equipment mechanics desired
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with others
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities
• Team player, willingness to and be adaptable in challenging situations
• Bilingual communications (if fluent in other than English languages)
• 2 – 5 years of turf equipment experience required
• Familiarity with golf equipment preferred

Demonstrates expertise in diagnosing and repairing John Deere equipment, with a strong focus on maintaining safety standards and thorough documentation. Possesses effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a team‑oriented environment.
