Position:
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or CSAC Supervisee
Education and Experience
Required:
The candidate must be a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or CSAC Supervisee with experience working in a team environment with individuals who suffer from substance abuse. Experience working with justice‑involved citizens is preferred.
Essential Duties: Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Support staff in the comprehensive assessment of clients and develop treatment plans based on the assessment.
- Support individual and group counseling sessions along with completing the required supporting documentation.
- Support case management services, as needed.
- Document treatment progress for each client.
- Exercise sound judgment in proposing changes to client treatment plans.
- Coordinate closely with other staff to ensure the appropriateness of treatment modalities.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Support staff in develop and implement plans for individual client discharges.
- Maintain high quality documentation of all case work, completed in a timely manner and consistent with outlined program policies and licensure requirements.
- Notify Supervisor of any significant client medical complaint(s), unusual events, accidents, medical problems, property damage or maintenance concern, etc.
- Intercept Clinicians will not provide medical services or therapeutic services that would reasonably be found to fall outside the scope of the expertise of the assigned counselor.
