We pride ourselves on a collegial and supportive work environment and are seeking a Corporate Services Assistant with prior corporate legal experience to support our corporate team in Charlottetown.
Applicants must have at least three years of experience in corporate legal support or corporate administration. Candidates without relevant experience will not be considered.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES- Attend to all of the steps required to complete extra-provincial registrations, annual returns and name registrations for firm clients and for out-of-province clients and partner firms.
- Draft or assist in drafting a wide range of legal documents and correspondence, ensuring high quality, accuracy and comprehensiveness, such as audit letters, annual returns, amendments, in corporations and related change notices, extra-provincial registrations, dissolutions, electronic filings, PPSA searches as well as maintenance of minute books.
- Act as a liaison between lawyers, clients and other firms, as well as internal departments and external affiliates including government departments as requested.
- Establish and maintain a current calendar of events and a deadline reminder system for assigned files.
- Other related and administrative duties as assigned.
- Minimum three years in corporate legal support, corporate administration, or related professional environment.
- Diploma, degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience in business, office administration, or legal administration.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team.
- Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
