Senior Corporate Paralegal | Charlottetown, PE

We pride ourselves on a collegial, supportive team environment and are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Paralegal to join our Charlottetown office.
This is a senior role suited for a confident professional who can manage corporate files with minimal supervision and provide guidance and support to lawyers and junior team members.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES- provide comprehensive support to the firm’s clients in all aspects of corporate transactions, including asset and share purchases and sales, re‑organisations, and financings;
- independently complete in corporations, amendments, continuances, amalgamations, dissolutions, revivals, and re‑organisations of Provincial and Federal entities;
- conduct and coordinate due diligence reviews;
- prepare and file PPSA registrations and related searches;
- review, organise, and maintain complex corporate minute books;
- assist lawyers with transaction closings and post‑closing matters;
- record billable and non‑billable time in accordance with firm standards;
- provide supervision, mentorship, guidance, and technical support to junior staff where appropriate; and
- perform other related duties as required.
- Successful completion of a Paralegal or Legal Assistant diploma, or post‑secondary education in a related field;
- Minimum five years of corporate paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm environment;
- Strong working knowledge of corporate statutes, filings, and regulatory requirements;
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Office and experience working with corporate database and legal document management systems;
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills;
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment;
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
Cox & Palmer, PEI provides a competitive compensation and benefits package including:
- wage range – $60,000 – 85,000 annually which is determined by experience;
