About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our property management team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across our diverse portfolio of residential, health care facilities, and commercial properties throughout Prince Edward Island. This position requires someone who takes pride in their work, communicates effectively with tenants and property owners, and works independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across multiple residential and commercial properties
- Respond to emergency electrical issues and service calls in a timely manner
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, including wiring, lighting, outlets, circuit breakers, and panels
- Install and upgrade electrical fixtures, appliances, and systems as needed
- Work with property managers and tenants to schedule and complete electrical work with minimal disruption
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project
- Ensure all work meets Canadian Electrical Code and PEI regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers as needed for larger projects
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service
Qualifications:
- Valid PEI Journeyperson Electrician License (Class A or
B) - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and PEI electrical regulations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (attics, crawl spaces, etc.)
Assets:
- Experience in property management or multi-unit residential settings
- HVAC or plumbing knowledge
- First Aid/CPR certification
