Senior Apprentice Carpenter (3rd or 4th Year) – Commercial Construction

Location: Charlottetown & Summerside, PEI
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Journeyman, Foreman/Superintend ant.

Wilmac Construction is looking for motivated 3rd and 4th Year Apprentice Carpenters to join our growing commercial construction team across Prince Edward Island.

We work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects including fit-ups, renovations, multi-story developments, and agricultural buildings. We are looking for apprentices who want to continue developing their skills, take pride in their work, and grow their careers within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial carpentry and construction activities
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Install framing, drywall, doors, hardware, ceilings, and finishes
• Perform renovations, fit-ups, and general carpentry duties
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain safe and organized work areas
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades

Qualifications

• Registered 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Carpenter preferred
• Commercial construction experience considered an asset
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
• Ability to work independently and take direction
• Valid driver’s license considered an asset

Schedule

• Full-time employment
• Monday to Friday
• Approximately 44 hours per week
• Home every night – all projects located within PEI
