Job Summary:
Olympia Electric Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for our projects. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience, a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes.
- Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members, contractors, and project managers to complete projects efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
Qualifications:
- Indentured Electrical Apprenticeship program.
- Proven experience as a journeyman electrician preferred.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including construction sites.
Working Conditions:
- Work may involve exposure to electrical hazards, heights, and confined spaces.
- Standard work hours:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM, with occasional overtime requirements. - Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Olympia Electric Limited’s Employees are part of an Association Agreement; all wage rates and benefits are outlined in this agreement, which will be presented to you in the interview process.
