The Site Foreman is responsible for overseeing glazing installations on commercial projects, coordinating crews, materials, and daily site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. This position requires strong glazing experience and leadership skills, with regular coordination between project managers, contractors, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate glazing crews on commercial job sites
- Review project drawings, specifications, and installation requirements
- Plan daily work, labour, materials, and equipment requirements
- Oversee the installation of storefronts, curtain wall systems, glass entrances, and other commercial glazing systems
- Ensure installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
- Monitor project progress and communicate site updates or concerns
- Troubleshoot installation and site-related issues
- Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with safety regulations
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices and less-experienced team members
- Proven commercial glazing experience
- Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred
- Red Seal certification in Glazing considered a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize crews, materials, and project priorities
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to project sites as required
- Salary Range: $41.00–$47.00 per hour
- 4% vacation pay
- Full-time, Permanent
- Location:
Prince Edward Island - Travel to project sites may be required
