- Equity, Access and Inclusivity:
Ensure that curriculum, instructional practices, assessment practices, professional development, and academic and career technical programming are designed and implemented to provide equity, access, and inclusivity for all members of the Bay Path school community. Promote equitable opportunities for student achievement and ensure that diverse student needs, backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives are considered in curriculum and instructional decision-making. - Curriculum Leadership:
Oversee the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of all academic and CTE curriculum to ensure alignment with DESE frameworks, industry standards, district goals, and best practices. - DESE Compliance:
Ensure the school is in full compliance with DESE requirements, including curriculum frameworks, program reviews, licensure regulations, Perkins requirements, and all other state and federal mandates related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment. - Professional Development:
Assist in the design, coordination, and facilitation of high-quality professional development that strengthens educator practice in curriculum, instruction, assessment, instructional technology, and career readiness. - Instructional Support:
Provide coaching, modeling, resources, and feedback to support high-quality instructional practices, differentiation, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and integration of academic and career-readiness skills. - Assessment Practices:
Oversee the development and implementation of effective assessment practices and systems that promote student learning, data-informed decision making, and continuous improvement. - State-Mandated Testing:
Ensure accurate administration, monitoring, documentation, and reporting of all state‑mandated assessments and other required testing, and use assessment data to inform instruction and program effectiveness. - Program and Pathway Oversight:
Collaborate with department leaders and instructors to ensure the quality, relevance, and continuous improvement of all 23 career pathways and academic programs, including alignment with industry standards and labor‑market needs. - Scheduling Support:
Partner with school leadership in the development of the master schedule to promote curriculum alignment, appropriate course sequencing, staffing efficiency, and student success. - Evaluation Leadership:
Support the educator evaluation process by providing guidance, resources, classroom‑based feedback, and professional learning aligned with the Massachusetts educator evaluation system and school goals. - Data and Accountability:
Monitor curriculum, assessment, and program data; identify trends; prepare reports; and recommend strategies that support student achievement, school improvement, and accountability. - Team
Collaboration:
Serve as an active and collaborative member of the administrative team, contributing to school‑wide planning, policy development, problem solving, and decision making. - Communication:
Maintain clear, consistent communication with staff, students, families, and community partners regarding curriculum initiatives, compliance requirements, instructional priorities, and academic and technical programming. - Other Duties:
Performs any of the duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or their designee.
