Vending Attendant

Job Summary

Provides vending products and services at a single location. Collects money from machines and makes change.

• Receive delivery of various items, including soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries at the customer’s place of business.
• Stock shelves or racks in vending machines and coolers; collect stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise; collect money from machines; refill bill and coin changers.
• Record transactions on appropriate card and/or electronic device.
• Assume accountability for cash and product.
• Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service.
• Prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
• Inform regular customers of new products or services.
• Listen to and resolve service complaints.
• Perform routine maintenance on and sanitation of machines; maintain a clean storeroom and vending area.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Fixed Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.

Canteen – 53 Sturbridge Road, Charlton, MA 01507.

Previous 1 year as a vending attendant preferred.
