Truck Driver CDL A Shuttle

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in New Hampton, NY — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• $1200 Guaranteed per week; we pay weekly.
• Paid training.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday - Thursday.
• Start time: 2:00 PM.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

  Singleton Shuttle from New Hampton to Charlton, MA — daily home route.
• Tractor type:
  Day cab.
• Trailer type: 53' dry van.
• Equipment: pallet jack.
• Freight: touch- offload & reload one trip.
