Payroll Specialist

The Goodman Group is seeking a Full-time Payroll Specialist to support our real estate and senior living communities. In this role, you will process accurate, timely multi-state payroll, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws. You will reconcile payroll reports, prepare journal entries, and partner closely with HR and property managers on hires, changes, and terminations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-focused, and experienced with payroll systems, delivering dependable support in a mission-driven, resident-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for multi-state real estate and senior living operations
• Maintain accurate employee records, deductions, and benefits within payroll systems
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations
• Reconcile payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and prepare journal entries
• Collaborate with HR and property managers on new hires, terminations, and status changes
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with a focus on service and confidentiality
• Support year-end processing, including W-2s and tax filings
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and process improvements
