Salary: Based on CEA Master Agreement

Chaska High School is seeking a motivated, student-centered leader to serve as Head Coach for our Girls Cross Country program. We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing student-athletes both competitively and personally while fostering a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented culture.

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the girls cross country running program
• Plan and conduct practices, training schedules, and meet preparation
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, and athlete development
• Coordinate with assistant coaches, athletic department staff, and families
• Support the academic success and well-being of student-athletes
• Organize team communication, transportation, equipment, and offseason development opportunities

• Previous coaching and/or competitive running experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, families, and staff
• Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive team environment
• Must meet all district and state coaching requirements

• Passion for mentoring high school athletes
• Knowledge of distance training principles and injury prevention
• Ability to develop athletes at all experience levels
• Enthusiastic, dependable, and collaborative
