Technical Project Manager, Global Operations
Location:
Chaska, Minnesota (on‑site). Reports to the Director, Global Operations PMO and Strategy.
- Take accountability and control of the delivery of multi‑disciplinary, global operations projects/programs that deliver critical and strategic business benefits.
- Monitor, measure, and coach the execution of several projects to achieve program objectives.
- Plan and design technology transfer/NPI projects/programs, identifying success criteria, setting controls, and ensuring appropriate program infrastructure, governance, and change‑management processes are in place while proactively monitoring and reporting on progress through an established governance framework.
- Establish and utilize effective risk‑management and mitigation practices by properly identifying, assessing, tracking, and communicating risks.
- Collaborate, challenge, and define innovative, compliant opportunities to increase the efficiencies and effectiveness of design change and supplier qualification processes, partnering constructively with Quality, Regulatory, and Operations stakeholders.
- Educational requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering‑related field (preferred 9+ years of experience in a manufacturing organization), master’s degree (preferred 7+ years) or PhD (preferred 4+ years). - Project Management:
Prefer 5+ years of experience leading medium to large‑scale technology transfer/NPI projects and design change programs. - Regulatory Compliance:
Proven ability to manage medium/large design changes and technology transfer projects in the medical device or diagnostics regulatory environment, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and global standards. - Lean Six Sigma:
Proficiency in problem‑solving methods and best‑practice manufacturing techniques, including lean six sigma tools. - Technical Leadership:
Ability to execute large cross‑functional projects/programs, meeting quality, scope, cost, and time targets. - Travel:
Ability to travel globally approximately 25% of the time. - Additional experience (a plus):
Lean/Six Sigma experience, certified Kaizen leader, proficiency in Power BI/Smartsheet, MIRO, Excel, and project‑management software.
Annual salary range: $116,000 – $125,000 (eligible for bonus/incentive pay). Comprehensive benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees.
