We are seeking a full‑time OSP Manager to grow and manage EPS’s Outside Plant work and team. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, bidding and securing projects, and overseeing execution in the field. The OSP Manager works closely with customers, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure work is priced correctly, executed safely, and delivered profitably. This position reports directly to the Telecom Services Division Manager and provides leadership for Outside Plant operations in alignment with EPS goals and priorities.
- Lead and manage all aspects of Outside Plant operations.
- Identify, pursue, and secure Outside Plant work through relationship development, opportunity tracking, and competitive bidding.
- Prepare bids, conduct project walk‑throughs, review scopes of work, and develop cost estimates for Outside Plant projects.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of all team members assigned within the Outside Plant group.
- Manage and monitor the performance of Outside Plant personnel while supporting accountability and team development.
- Work closely with the Accounting Division to assist with budgeting, job cost tracking, invoicing, and overall financial performance of Outside Plant projects.
- Ensure successful execution of Outside Plant projects, including coordination and management of personnel, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Maintain a positive working environment and employee experience within the Outside Plant team.
- Oversee overall project management of all Outside Plant projects, including scheduling, field crew assignments, and ensuring proper execution of quality and safety standards.
- Ensure coordination between field crews, subcontractors, customers, and internal stakeholders through established systems and processes.
- Lead Outside Plant business development activities in coordination with EPS leadership and sales efforts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on Outside Plant projects.
- Track ongoing projects and provide solutions to field personnel when issues or challenges arise.
- Ensure all required project documentation, as‑builts, reporting, and closeout materials are properly completed and maintained.
- Prepare and maintain electronic files, correspondence, schedules, and reports necessary for Outside Plant projects.
- Communicate detailed project information to field leads and EPS management to ensure awareness of project status, risks, and customer communications.
- Promote and emulate EPS company philosophy, values, and safety practices to ensure Outside Plant crews maintain operational and safety standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities to analyze and streamline projects, processes, methods, tools, equipment, personnel, and operational practices to improve efficiency and performance.
- Five or more years of experience in Outside Plant construction, operations, or project management.
- Experience estimating and bidding Outside Plant work.
- Strong understanding of aerial and underground construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, scopes of work, and schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with a high level of accountability and attention to detail.
- Understanding of how to create an effective scope of work and follow through to completion.
- Ability to anticipate challenges, adapt to changing conditions, and provide practical, field‑driven solutions.
- Valid driver’s license.
