Director, Global PMO – Beckman Coulter Diagnostics
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, lead, and mentor Project Managers, ensuring projects realize benefits and PMs reach potential.
- Define and embed best‑in‑class project and program management standards, tools, and methodologies.
- Establish and drive the achievement of Project and Portfolio KPIs through adoption of Danaher Business Systems tools, Visual Project Management, Daily Management, and Global Ops PMO Standard Work/Methodology, fostering continuous learning, accountability, and delivery excellence.
- Oversee the execution of regional and global projects/programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities, on‑time delivery, scope adherence, and budget compliance.
- Work creatively and analytically in a problem‑solving environment demonstrating collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences including project teams, sponsors, steering teams, and executive‑level partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Scientific/engineering) with 14+ years of project management experience, or Master’s with 12+, or Doctoral with 9+ years.
- Significant experience in diagnostic/medical device regulated environment (manufacturing, R&D, engineering).
- Strong Project Management experience, leading large, sophisticated operations and/or R&D projects/programs and complex teams.
- Proven experience leading all aspects of medium/large design changes and all aspects of technology transfer programs/projects in the Medical Device or Diagnostics regulatory environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Minimum of 10 years people management with proven ability to manage, mentor and develop Project managers and project teams with varying levels of PM competence; capable of making tough decisions and building effective teams in a global matrixed organization.
- Global business knowledge and influence – demonstrated understanding of different cultures and approaches and ability to lead, follow, work and influence at all levels and all functions of the organization.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel domestically and globally.
- Approximately 20% travel.
- Lean / Six Sigma experience, certified Kaizen leader and demonstrated problem‑solving capability.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Smartsheet, MIRO, Excel and project management software.
The annual salary range for this role is $200k - $220k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus, incentive pay, and equity.
