Weekend Shift Machine Operator

Join our Reagent Small Vial Value Stream team to formulate, fill, test, and package chemical and biological reagent products. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a team-oriented, goal-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow established work instructions, SOPs, and FDA/ISO requirements.
• Independently perform formulation, filling, testing, and packaging tasks.
• Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot reagent components and instruments.
• Conduct solution testing such as pH, conductivity, and density to meet specifications.
• Ensure compliance with QSR, GMP, and ISO standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve quality.
• Recommend and implement process improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and production records.
• Train new team members as needed.
• Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards.
• Perform other duties and cross-training as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in a regulated industry.
• Experience with machine operation, bottle filling, or food/medical production.
• Knowledge of GMP and Device History Records.
• Ability to read/write in English and follow documented procedures.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Candidates from Federal Packaging have great crossover skills.
• Experience in machine operation, packaging, filling machines, line production, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Good Documentation Procedures.

Work Environment

This role operates within a regulated manufacturing environment with clean, climate-controlled, and well-lit work areas. The shift is from 10 am to 10 pm Friday-Sunday. The position consists of a combination of 80% standing at a work station and 20% walking. Personal protective equipment required includes a smock, glasses, steel-toed shoes, hairnet, and beard net.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.20 - $24.20/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
