The Scientist II Production Operations role for Beckman Coulter manages and optimizes purification production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Operating independently, this role executes complex production builds while providing on-floor support, guidance, and training to team members on operational procedures and best practices.

This position reports to the Supervisor of Reagent Operations and is part of Reagent Operations department located in Chaska, MN, and will be on-site. The role will primarily be in Purifications, with the potential to be flexed to other areas depending on business needs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Execute the daily production plan to due date conformance and quality standards according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

+ Independently execute work regarding mammalian cell cultures using good laboratory practices; assistance in other areas as needed

+ Assure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO regulatory requirements

+ Apply basic analytical skills or scientific methods to perform daily tasks

+ Work directly and cooperatively with cross-functional team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure emphasis on quality

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor's Degree in a Science field / 2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree in a Science field with 0-2+ years or relevant experience

+ Proven track record of good laboratory practices (GLP).

+ Proficient in executing manufacturing processes, strictly adhering to SOPs, written/verbal specifications, and all relevant FDA, GMP, and ISO regulatory requirements

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:  

+ Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb, any other physical requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ A regulated industry preferred (e.g. FDA, ISO).

+ Updating and improving SOPs to reflect current best practices and operational changes.

+  Perform validations and experimental builds.

The salary range for this position is: $66K-$83K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
