Description
1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday
2nd Shift: 2:30pm-1:00am Monday-Thursday ($1.00 Shift Differential Applies)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that products meet company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in organizational excellence and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process and final inspections of products and components using various measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformities and deviations; escalate critical issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in quality inspection or a related manufacturing / production role. Familiarity with quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with measurement tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Basic computer skills (MS Office, data entry). Some knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS) preferred.
- Skills: Clear verbal and written communication. Strong observational skills to detect defects, maintain accurate records, and standardize reports and write-ups.
