The Assay Development Intern is responsible for participating in a team performing general laboratory operations, supporting tasks such as material inventory and general laboratory maintenance. The R&D Summer Intern will work directly with a group of scientists doing a variety of tasks related to the development of fully-automated immunoassays on Beckman Coulter’s instruments and will have the opportunity to learn real world applications of the R&D design process by completing assignments requiring independent thinking and basic analysis;
in addition to documentation of studies performed.
This position reports to the Supervisor of Development Science and is part of the Immunoassay Research and Development team located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Work on a project within the Immunoassay development team
Get hands on industry experience.
Present on your project at the end of the internship program.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biological Sciences or related discipline
0-2+ years of laboratory experience (class experience acceptable)
Candidates must have knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of statistical methods and design of experiments
The hourly pay for this role is $30. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting
