As a prison officer, you play a crucial part in a person's rehabilitation journey and ensure the safety and security of the facility. Prison officers supervise daily activities, support positive behaviour, and respond to incidents to ensure the safe operation of the prison.
You will:

- Support prisoner rehabilitation through case management
- Protect the safety and security of staff and prisoners

Australian Defence Force veterans are encouraged to apply.
- Earn up to $93,938 with a base salary of $65,373 plus penalty rates and overtime
- Annual salary increases, 4 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks personal leave and provisions for study leave. An additional week of leave granted once 10 Sundays worked.
- 43 days fully paid full time training
- Complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Adult Custodial), once completed, increases your base salary
- Regional relocation assistance of up to $10,000 for a move to regional Victoria (conditions apply, see website or speak to our recruitment team for details)
New prison officers are now eligible for a bonus of up to $8,000. Six months after commencing, you will receive a payment of $4,000. Then, after one year's full-time employment, you will receive an additional payment of $4,000. Conditions apply, see website for details.
