Facilities Engineer

Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for managing and executing a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks supporting multiple facilities.

• Can independently execute basic/finish carpentry, basic electrical tasks, small equipment operation, basic plumbing tasks, and physical movement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Can execute the following functions under supervision: lawncare, lock/key and hardware tasks, motor repair, pump repair, hospital beds, kitchen equipment, medical gas and air systems, water softening systems, domestic hot/cold water systems.
• Demonstrates ability to independently troubleshoot, identify, follow up and correct a variety of building deficiencies.
• Coordinates assigned areas of responsibility to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to meet background checks required for the position.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

• Hazardous Spill Certification within 1 year of employment, renewed annually.
• Asbestos Awareness Certification within 1 year of employment, renewed annually.
• OSHA Certification within 1 year of employment, renewed annually.

• 2 years of work experience in a healthcare setting.
• CPR Certification.

Physical Demands of this Position.

Compensation is determined based on position requirements, experience, education, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity. Pay does not include shift, weekend, or other differentials.
