Job Summary
The Carver County Attorney's Office is seeking an unpaid volunteer / intern to serve with the Office's Victim Witness Coordinators. This person will assist Victim Witness Staff in providing assistance and services to victims and Carver County Attorney's Office Staff.
Typical Duties And Responsibilities• Schedule and attend interviews upon the request of the attorney or victim witness staff.
• Utilize available computer systems to research case status.
• Document all contacts accurately using internal databases.
• Escort victims to court appearances as requested.
• Complete correspondence to the victim.
• Participate in community outreach and education as sponsored by the Carver County Attorney's Office.
• Other projects as assigned.
• High School Diploma/GED
• Complete and pass a background check
• Valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility
• Must be available a minimum of 6 months (volunteer) or one semester (intern)
• Must be available to work a minimum of 2 hours per week
• Must meet all requirements outlined in MN Statute 179A.03 Subd. 14(6)
All applications will be screened for minimum qualifications, scored and ranked. The highest ranked candidates meeting minimum qualifications will be recommended for the scored oral examinations (interviews). Final selection for the position will include successful completion of oral interview(s), reference checks, and background investigation, including CJIS fingerprinting and POR check.
