Chatham Chrysler in Chatham Ontario is looking for Experienced Vehicle Sales Consultants.

Position Summary

The responsibilities of the Salesperson focus on understanding and meeting customer needs. To sell, the candidate must have a basic knowledge of automotive systems and a thorough knowledge of prices, models, series, options, and other variations of the manufacturer’s product, and should also know about the competition’s products and prices. Most importantly, the candidate should be sensitive toward the customer and have a strong interest in exceeding customer expectations.

The Salesperson must possess polished communication skills with customers, including the ability to present the company’s products and to discover, through questioning, exactly what the customer’s needs are, and must be a resourceful negotiator capable of addressing customer hesitation and resistance. The Salesperson presents a positive image of the dealership, both in mode of dress and helpful and friendly attitude.

Together with the Sales Manager, the Salesperson determines personal sales goals and the methods by which those goals will be met.

Objectives
  • Treat every customer as a potential lifetime purchaser, communicating a professional image that embraces honesty and concern for customer wants and needs.
  • Sell cars to make dealership profit, increase volume and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Relate objectives and planned activities to your manager.
  • Deliver cars to customers and ensure the customer understands the operating features, warranty conditions and all related documents to establish customer loyalty.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up and prospect development system to encourage repeat, referral and new business.
  • Acquaint customers with our Service Department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s operations.
  • Recognize that business is built on customer satisfaction and apply oneself to ensuring customer satisfaction.
Business Skills Required
  • Knowledge of sales procedures, processes, and follow-up.
  • Ability to meet and greet customers.
  • Ability to effectively relate to customers of all backgrounds and focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of Company products (prices, models, series, options, warranties, colours, standard equipment, specifications)
  • Ability to prospect and ask for referrals.
  • Ability to counsel a customer (likes, dislikes, finances, needs).
