Electrician - Plant Electrician Position

Wabtec Foundry is currently seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician to join our team. The role requires a licensed electrician with industrial experience, versatile, practical, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Plant Electrician will:
1) address equipment issues to support production;
2) perform inspections and preventive maintenance on all equipment; and
3) support continuous improvement efforts in the plant.

• Repair and maintain all equipment and machinery to ensure efficient, safe operation with minimal downtime.
• Inspect all machinery for defects and potential problems per the preventive maintenance program; repair and replace parts as required.
• Modify machinery and equipment as needed to support continuous improvement.
• Repair, maintain, and install electrical components, wiring, and electrical equipment of all machinery and plant facilities.
• Collaborate with other skilled trades to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Plan repairs and projects with management and peers.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out necessary repairs.
• Ensure all electrical parts, wiring and equipment conform to electrical code requirements and are operating safely and efficiently.
• Identify and report workplace hazards.
• Perform preventive electrical maintenance procedures.
• Conduct electrical tests and maintain maintenance and repair records.
• Comply with all company rules, policies, and regulations.
• Practice good housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist other maintenance employees with repairs, troubleshooting, or removal/install of equipment when needed.

• Electrical license issued in Ontario (442A or 309A considered).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
• Willingness to be flexible for shift coverage.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and oral).
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Willingness to take on challenges and show initiative.
• Exhibits strong work ethic.

Salary range is currently $0-0. The actual salary offered may vary based on training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and location.
