Millwright (433A Certified) – Tilbury, ON
We are currently seeking an experienced Millwright for our client in Tilbury, ON. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. OverviewFull‑Time, Union Position - Continental 12‑hour shifts with a rotation of days (6:30AM–6:30PM) and nights (6:30PM–6:30AM). Average paid 46 hours per week. Must hold valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Reliable transportation required.
Shift premium: $0.85/hour for day shift, $1.20/hour for afternoon shift. Sunday premium: 8 hours paid at double time + 4 hours regular pay. Cost‑of‑Living Allowance (C.O.L.A.): $0.75/hour worked. Base rate: $44.48/hour. Employees work an average of 42 hours per week and are paid an average of 46 hours per week due to the Sunday double‑time structure.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues; determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Execute preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and planned repairs.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification.
- Minimum 3 years’ Millwright experience.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Union experience considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Physically capable of prolonged standing, walking, lifting (30–50lbs), overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
This facility operates on a continental rotation: two weeks of nights followed by two weeks of days. Employees work 14 days per month and after completing a 36‑hour week receive three consecutive days off before rotating shifts.
