Journeyman Power Line Maintainer

In this full-time role, you will report to the Line Supervisor and perform vital tasks for the electrical network. You will be involved in maintaining energized overhead and underground distribution, requiring specialized skills and experience in live line rubber glove work. This position demands being available for 24-hour service duty on a rotational basis, so readiness for emergencies is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and maintain overhead and underground distribution systems

• Perform live line work up to 27.6 kV using best practices

• Respond to emergencies like power outages and hazards

• Disconnect and reconnect services as necessary

• Foster professional relationships with coworkers and customers

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma and Ontario Power Line Certificate

• Minimum 4 years in the lines trade

• Valid Class DZ Driver’s License

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude is essential
