Vehicle Service Technician

Elevation Recruitment Group’s Engineering Services Division are recruiting for an Vehicle Service Technician to join a busy specialist automotive service centre based in Rotherham. This is a mix of workshop-based and same day travelling to customer sites, working as part of a skilled team responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a fleet of commercial vehicles, including HGVs and buses (both diesel and electric), operating on a mornings-based shift pattern.

Rotherham Salary: £35,000 Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 Key

Duties & Responsibilities:

Carry out all aspects of vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspection, and repair within the workshop Diagnose faults using specialist diagnostic equipment and software, along with manual inspection techniques Perform routine maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Interpret and utilise the latest technical manuals, guides, and service documentation Complete job cards and records accurately and efficiently Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality workmanship and service standards

Skills & Experience Required:

Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential) City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification) Strong diagnostic skills, including electrical and computer-based fault finding Proven experience working on HGVs, buses, or other commercial vehicles Ability to work independently and as part of a team Able to follow both written and verbal instructions with attention to detail If you are an experienced Vehicle Service Technician looking for a new opportunity within a friendly, supportive workshop environment offering varied and interesting work, we would love to hear from you.
