Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)
Salary: £57,750 per year
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – rotating 12:00‑24:00 / 07:00‑19:00, adjusting to 09:00‑21:00 during peak/quiet seasons

The RoleThe purpose of this role is to facilitate the planned, preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance of a wide range of production and packaging machinery. You will play a pivotal role in minimising downtime and driving continuous improvements across the site.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all production machinery and facility equipment are maintained to optimum efficiency standards.
- Utilise advanced fault‑finding techniques to react quickly to mechanical and electrical breakdowns, communicating clearly with production teams.
- Execute a systematic planned maintenance programme to minimise downtime and reduce business cost impacts.
- Manage a stock of critical spare parts and handle ordering for upcoming service and repair work.
- Assist with the installation, modification, and commissioning of new site equipment.
- Maintain strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, ensuring work is carried out safely.
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong electrical foundation paired with robust mechanical skills, ideally gained within a fast‑paced manufacturing or food production environment.
Requirements- Qualifications:
Served electrical apprenticeship (City & Guilds), HNC, ONC, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent. - Experience:
Proven track record as a Multi‑Skilled Engineer with strong PLC fault‑finding and diagnostics experience. - Systems:
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems). - Skills:
Exceptional diagnostic and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement. - Communication:
Effective communication skills; ability to engage with all levels of the business (Minimum B2 English proficiency). - Adaptability:
Ability to manage multiple tasks, reprioritise under pressure, and manage stakeholder expectations.
