Overview
Join Ball-Chatham School District as the Director of Safety and Security. Ball-Chatham School District is seeking an experienced public safety professional to serve as Director of Safety and Security. This leadership role oversees district-wide safety initiatives and works collaboratively with administrators, School Safety Officers, and local law enforcement partners to ensure a secure learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position is well suited for an experienced or retiring law enforcement professional who wants to continue serving the community while helping support safe, welcoming schools.

- Active or retired law enforcement officers required.
- Minimum of 10 years of law enforcement or equivalent security experience.
- Supervisory or command experience preferred.
- School safety, SRO, or emergency management experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, crisis management, and communication skills.
- Ability to pass fingerprint criminal background and DCFS background checks.
- Legal authority to carry a firearm on district property, as permitted by law and administration.
